Financial disclosure
What this site can and cannot tell you about your money, and where to go for the rest.

This is information, not advice
Everything published here is general information about how financial products and concepts work. It does not take account of your income, expenses, debts, tax position, goals or circumstances, and it is not a personal recommendation. Nothing on this site should be treated as financial, investment, legal or tax advice.
We are not a bank, lender, broker, credit-repair firm or financial adviser. We do not arrange products, hold client money, or act for you in any transaction.
Figures change
Interest rates, fees, introductory offers, eligibility rules and protection limits change, often without notice. Where we publish one, we say where it came from and when we last checked it. Always confirm the current terms on the provider’s own page before you apply or commit to anything.
Calculators are estimates
Our calculators show their formula and list the assumptions built into the result. Those assumptions — a fixed rate, payments made on schedule, no tax deducted, no fees beyond the ones you enter — will not all hold in reality. Treat the output as a way to understand the shape of a decision, not as a quotation.

If you are struggling with debt
Free debt advice exists in all three markets and is worth more than any calculator. In the UK, MoneyHelper and Citizens Advice; in Australia, the National Debt Helpline and ASIC’s Moneysmart; in the United States, a nonprofit credit counselling agency accredited by the NFCC. Be cautious of any firm that charges an upfront fee to fix your credit or settle your debts.
Commercial relationships
We earn affiliate commission on some outbound links. This is disclosed on every page that carries one and explained in full in how we make money.
